Two gorgeous falls, tucked away around Lake Rabun!

Thinking of taking a hike...
“Meraki: To do something with soul, creativity or love, leaving a piece of yourself into what you are doing .”
Angel Falls is a moderately trafficked in and out hiking trail. Located near Rabun Lake and the Chattahoochee National Forrest. Elevation changes drastically as you approach the final falls. AKA its time to work on those glutes and calves. The trail is 2.1 miles long, a fairly easy trek as far as distance. However, it is the elevation and trail obstacles that make the trail a bit more strenuous. A storm swept through a few years ago, knocking down many trees at the final leg of the journey. The path is clearly marked, but there are still a few things to climb over.
I would, however, recommend this hike for anyone with children and dogs. Despite the obstacles the hike is enjoyable and easy for kids and dogs alike to over come. Also the short distance makes it much easier. The first falls is only 1 mile in, this is the Panther Falls. It's the lower part of the falls, but is the easiest to access. There is a reflective pool at the bottom of the pool for you to enjoy and rest at.

Cairn: Gaelic or Scottish in origin, a human stacking of rocks as landmarks.
To the left the trail continues up along Panther Falls. At the top, only a little ways down, you will find Angel Falls. This falls is partially concealed with vegetation, but its absolutely beautiful. There is a bench for you to rest on and enjoy the water rustling over the stairwell of stones.
Final Thoughts
Writ This is a great short hike for, if you're like me, if you want to schedule several hikes in one day. Getting there can be a bit monotonous, winding roads around lake Rabun to the parking area. One nice part is passing through the small town of Lakemont--a beautiful Main Street nestled into the literal side of a mountain. They even have a Yoga and Kindness shop. If you stop there, let me know what you find. I'm curious to how you can sell "kindness".....
