Down a rough road likes a beautiful falls and a roaring river.

Thinking of taking a Hike...
Down a dirt and very winding, bumpy road...is Helton Creek Falls. The falls is less than a mile in and out with only slight elevation changes. It's an easy hike for dogs and children alike and allows for spectacular views of raging white water.
The area to exercise a lot of caution in is the side of the river itself--an extension of the falls itself. The water rises up over the rocks and roars down into the calm pool below. This is a very precarious spot--don't get too close or you'll go down right with the water. Several selfie takers have already lost life and limb in this exact spot.
“Life sucks a lot less when you add mountain air, a campfire and some peace and quiet.” ~Brooke Hampton
This isn't much of a hike, but if you're a waterfall chaser, it's the perfect spot for you. Spend time beside the main falls on the wooden deck, or by the roaring river itself. Just be careful to keep your footing and don't let any of the little ones or furry friends too close to the edge.
Final Thoughts
Not much of a hike, and the drive to it is the hardest part of the journey. Getting out is equally hard as the winding road goes on and on no matter what direction you choose. The pot holes are also unpleasant, not to mention the narrow roads and occasionally overzealous drivers.
Gear for this Hike
1) Extra socks
2) Waterproof shoes or boots
3)Water
4) First Aid Kit (falls are common)
