Welcome to our piece of heaven! I see your nosiness got the best of you, and here you are! No worries, pictures abound here! We have a lot of plans for our little house! I've included some of my ideas. If you have any, please share!
This is the first taste of our home! We have added an antique piano on the right hand side of the foyer. I want to add a church pew as well to the left side of the foyer. I'm thinking of keeping the entryway white, as it adds a regal, clean, and open feel to the room.
Our living room is always brightly lit during the day, with the two large windows framing the room. We also have an unusual aspect to the home as well! The tiny mail slot (still used by the postman!). It leads out to our front porch! How quaint!
The guest bedroom has the same tan paint color as the living room. Currently, we are using this as an office and guest room.
One of my favorite aspects of our house is the large master bedroom! We've been cramped into small rooms for far too long, to have beautiful open space feels amazing!
The fireplace is, like the others, closed off. We have some salt lamps placed inside of the fireplace to create that warm, cozy glow!
The closet of the master is large, though not a walk in closet.
Currently we have a lot of gray and white bedroom decor, with a dark oak bedroom suite. I haven't decided what color I want to pain the walls, or what color curtains I want to do. I am torn between a variety of different schemes and colors. I am hoping that after a few weeks in the home I will have a good idea of how the light hits the room, and what scheme I want to go with!
The master bath is lovely, look at that interesting floor?! Beautiful, blue, vintage, tile! I'm in love with this quirky feature! I'm thinking of a light blue wall color above the white tile.
Like our master bathroom and the breakfast nook, this was once a back porch. I believe it was added sometime in the 1960s. This room, and the breakfast nook, still has the original siding from the house inside as part of the wall. Pretty cool right?
This is definitely an interesting use of the room. I can't say I've ever had a bathroom included with a laundry room. There again, however, I've never had my own laundry room.
I already know I want to paint the walls white, and change the brown curtains to a gray. I'm still thinking on everything however.
The dining room connects to the kitchen with an open window and bar. I'm in love with the tile, so much easier to clean and take care of than carpet!
The kitchen is marvelous! I adore the cabinet space and the island! The oven is actually a part of the island which makes cookie SO much easier for me since I tend to wander about doing other things as well lol. First thing I'm changing, however, is the paint color!
We call this the Red Room. Little bit of a Shining throw back lol. We are changing the color soon, probably first out of the whole house. But we aren't sure what color etc. The floor here is still original and I LOVE the stripes! I can't wait to see what we do with this room!
