It's no secret that I'm a fan of wineries, and I have toured several of the wineries in Georgia and North Carolina. Until now, my personal favorite had always been the Linville Winery in North Carolina.
Now, my favorite winery in Georgia is the Nutwood Winery in LaGrange! This site is absolutely breath taking. Entering the venue is spectacular, you get a gorgeous view of the old plantation house. You take a slight left turn at the house and you enter the winery.
The Winery is fantastic! I can't say enough good things about it!
We opted to do their wine tasting, and their presentation was gorgeous! The tasting of five wines was presented on an iron tier. My husband and I tried several different wines on their list. My favorites were the Nutwood Peach, the Plantation Chardonnay, and the Meek's Black Cherry. Kevin's was the Silas Green Apple apple wine, it tasted JUST like a Jolly Rancher! Absolutely fantastic selection.
I also tried their peach slushy, which was amazing!! However, my overall favorite was the Plantation Chardonnay--I'm a white wine girl all the way.
My husband got a fruit and cheese platter for lunch, because he loves cheese lol. It was a bit pricey but it was really good and worth the money in my opinion.
My week was hectic and stressful, and this date was much needed. A little relaxing trip is always good for the soul and it's even better when wine is involved!
If you have the time, I'd definitely suggest visiting this terrific winery! It is well worth the drive and money.
